Maintain or renew torch-on or previously sealed slabs with
SealPro’s Armtec Renew waterproofing system. Renew or maintain
your current waterproofing system without removing it. The Armtec
Renew system has excellent adhesion and can be applied over
existing torchon or butiman covered slabs.

Armtec Renew Torchon Maintenance Waterproofing System

1/ CONCRETE SLAB COVERED WITH TORCH-ON

Concrete slab that was previously sealed or covered with torch-on waterproofing. Clean the surface of the slab and make sure it is smooth & free from debris and loose or flaking particles. Delaminated sections of torch-on membrane should be removed before waterproofing.

2/ PRIMER/ADHISION - BASE

Use BASE to embed the Armtec Membrane into the concrete slab. Base is a cementitious polymer and is used to achieve the required adhesion to torchon or bitumen surfaces.

3/ MEMBRANE - ARMTEC MESH

The Armtec Mesh is an alkali-resistant glass fibre mesh used to reinforce waterproof protection layers, antifracture membranes and cementitious smoothing and levelling layers.

4/ FILLER - CAVITY FILLER

For a smoother finish, the entire surface can be coated with Cavity Filler before waterproofing is applied. Cavity Filler has extreme adhesion properties to most substrates like tiles, wood and metal, including bituminous systems like touch-on.

5-7/ WATERPROOFING - HYDROSEAL HF

Apply 3 to 4 layers of HydroSeal HF over the entire concrete roof slab. HydroSeal HF is a co-polymer, high-performance universal waterproofing membrane specifically developed for long term protection of all types of roof surfaces, concrete roof slabs, parapet walls, tiled roofs, valleys, ridges, vents and flashings.

8/ FINAL COAT - HYDROSEAL

For highly trafficable areas it is advisable to do the last coat of waterproofing with HydroSeal, which will produce a harder finish than HF.

The Armtec Renew system is undoubtedly a flagship waterproofing system as it renders tensile strength, flexibility, and durability. It is highly trafficable, seamless and 100% waterproof after full curing. The Armtec system is based on using the best waterproofing products from SealPro in combination with each other incorporating the Armtec Mesh a specially coated glass fibre membrane making workability and application of the system much easier and cost effective

WATERPROOFING SYSTEM AT WORK

Renew or maintain your current waterproofing system without removing it. The Armtec Renew system has excellent adhesion and can be applied over existing waterproofing systems. The Armtec Renew system can be applied directly onto bitumen substrates or existing torchon membrane. Surface will not delaminate when correct application procedures has been adhered to.

The Armtec Renew system was used to renew the torchon waterproofing system at a commercial client in Pretoria. The system was renewed with great success and the client was very pleased with the end result.

Failed bitumen waterproofing on a new residential concrete roof slab in Pretoria East was replaced with the Armtec Renew waterproofing system. Extruding roof sections and the chimney was also sealed.
