Exterior Repaint & Waterproofing in Elarduspark, Pretoria

Location: Elarduspark, Pretoria
Service: Exterior repaint and waterproofing (roof, house walls and plaster boundary wall)

When a homeowner in Elarduspark wanted their property brought back to life, they called in Eco Seal for a complete exterior refurbishment. This was more than a coat of paint. The job covered the tile roof, the exterior house walls and the plaster boundary wall, each needing its own preparation and its own protective system before a single litre of top coat went on — a full roof painting and waterproofing project.

The problem: a tired, weather-worn exterior

Years of Highveld sun, rain and dust had taken their toll. The concrete tile roof was faded and streaked, with ageing waterproofing on the ridges, valleys, flashings and parapet copings that was no longer keeping water out. The plastered house walls had hairline cracks and worn sealant around the windows and doors. Along the perimeter, the boundary wall was heavily stained and blotchy, with copings that needed sealing before they let moisture track into the plaster below.

The Eco Seal solution: prep, seal, protect, paint

As an approved SealPro applicator, Eco Seal worked through the property system by system:

  1. Cleaned and prepped everything. The roof, house walls and boundary wall were high-pressure washed and hand-prepped to strip dirt, chalking paint and loose material back to a sound surface.
  2. Repaired and re-sealed. Cracked plaster sections were filled with fibre cement to match the surrounding texture, and worn seals around windows and doors were renewed.
  3. Renewed the roof waterproofing. Ridges and valleys were re-sealed, and patio flashings, parapet wall flashings and copings were filled and waterproofed with a flexible StretchSeal membrane.
  4. Sealed the boundary wall copings. The plaster boundary-wall copings were treated with StretchSeal membrane to stop water finding its way in from the top.
  5. Primed and painted. Wall surfaces were primed, then finished with two coats of high-quality exterior paint. The roof received two coats of premium slate roof paint for a clean, uniform finish.

The result: a home that looks new again

The transformation speaks for itself. The roof is a deep, even slate colour, the house walls are crisp and clean, and the boundary wall is restored to a smooth, uniform finish. Windows and doors are neatly cut in, the copings are properly sealed, and every surface is protected against the next round of Pretoria weather — combining tile roof waterproofing with the exterior wall painting we deliver across Pretoria East.
