Comprehensive Roof Maintenance & Refurbishment for AMKA in Pretoria: 9000 sqm – Box Gutter Replacement & Roof Surface Prep, Prime & Paint – Ready for Solar Panel Instalation

One recent major project was the comprehensive roof maintenance and refurbishment for AMKA in Pretoria. For this extensive job, we stripped and replaced 130 meters of degraded box guttering on their 14 Ellman Street facility. After rust treatment and priming, we installed new robust 2.5m mild steel gutter sections with welded joins for longevity.

We utilised our HidroSeal HF StretchSeal system to waterproof the new gutter against rust and leaks. We also conducted cleaning, rust treatment, priming and a complete 2-coat painting system across 9000 sqm of roof surface using Plascon EMS 18 to prime and Plascon NuRoof Cool paints as the top coat. This was done in preparation for a large solar panel installation on the roof.

Our customised solution returned the ageing roof to optimal condition and ensured this critical facility infrastructure could operate reliably for years to come. AMKA was highly satisfied with our diligent project execution and the long-term protection provided.
