Exterior Wall Painting & Waterproofing in Midlands Estate, Midstream

Location: Midlands Estate, Midstream
Service: Exterior Wall & Boundary-Wall Painting & Waterproofing

A home in Midlands Estate, Midstream had reached the stage every property owner knows well: the exterior walls looked tired and blotchy, cracks were opening up in the plaster, and damp staining had crept across the boundary wall. The owner called in Eco Seal Coating Specialists for professional exterior wall painting — stripping the exterior back, sealing the problem areas properly, and repainting the whole house and boundary walls with a durable, weather-ready finish.

The problem

Years of Highveld sun, rain and thermal movement had worn the coatings down. The house walls were patchy and discoloured, with the old paint flaking and bare plaster showing through in places. Fine cracks had opened across several sections, and the sealant around windows and doors had dried out and split. Worst of all, the boundary wall was heavily marked with damp and mould staining, and a section near the reception showed water tracking between the gutter and the wall. Left alone, that moisture would keep soaking behind the paint and into the plaster, undoing any fresh coat applied over the top.

The Eco Seal solution

As an approved SealPro applicator, Eco Seal worked through a full remedial system rather than simply painting over the damage:

  1. Clean and prepare. The house and boundary walls were washed down with a high-pressure washer to strip loose paint, dust, damp staining and surface grime back to a sound base.
  2. Repair cracks and damage. Cracked and damaged sections were filled with fibre cement, matched to the existing wall texture, so repairs blended into the surrounding plaster.
  3. Stop the damp. Damp-affected areas and the crack between the gutter and wall were treated with Hyperflex, a flexible waterproofing coating that seals moving cracks and blocks water from tracking back into the wall.
  4. Renew seals. Perished sealant around windows and doors was cut out and renewed to close off water-entry points.
  5. Prime and paint. Repaired areas were spot-primed, the walls were coated with a Rain Shield membrane, then finished with two full coats of premium exterior paint for an even, weather-resistant surface across the house and all boundary walls.

The result

The change speaks for itself. The blotchy, cracked walls are now a clean, uniform grey with crisp white window trim and smooth, even lines. The damp-stained boundary wall matches the house perfectly, its problem sections sealed and repainted. Under the wide Midstream sky the whole property looks freshly finished and protected, with a coating system built to hold up through many more seasons — the same standard we bring to waterproofing and painting across Midstream.
